General Manager - Mr .Peter Bell
Peter has been involved in Construction Materials Testing since 1976 when he started as a Testing Assistant for Main Roads Narrogin. He has held positions of Testing Officer, Materials Manager (MRWA Kalgoorlie, Kimberley & Bunbury) Laboratory Manger (South West Soil & Aggregate Laboratory Bunbury), Quality Manager for Quarry Park & B&J Catalano and is now the General Manager for Materials Consultants. In addition to the aforementioned he is also a NATA Technical Assessor.
At Materials Consultants Peter is responsible for the Management of the Company Operations, including: quotations, staffing, purchasing, producing & managing the annual Budget, NATA representative, implementation & management of the Quality System. He is also responsible for the development of customer relations, liaison with customers & Government Departments.

Lab Manager - Mr. Matthew Snow
Matthew joined Materials Consultants Bunbury in January 2002. Tasks included auditing of the road network in the South-West for Road Care, compaction control at Telfer Gold Mine for Brierty Contractors, compaction and concrete testing on Christmas Island for Gregory’s Plumbing and Pipeline Services, gravel searches for MRWA Narrogin and surrounding areas plus the general compaction and quality control of construction materials in the South-West. Returning to Christmas Island in mid 2004, Matthew was contracted to BMD Construction in the role of Level 1 Supervision for the initial earthworks of the Immigration Reception and Processing Centre.
With a wealth of accumulated knowledge, Matthew returned to Perth Materials Consultants to fulfil the role of Laboratory Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to, ensuring that work is performed and verified according to the specified quality and production requirements, the provision of instructions and information necessary for the execution of Work Requests, the approval of Materials Consultants Pty Ltd Test and Calibration Procedures and the format of Test Forms and Certificates and to inspect and ensure that sampling, testing and calibration activities are performed in a manner to achieve both quality and production requirements for base laboratory.

Group Admin Manager - Ms. Deanna Mason
As the Group Admin Manager of Highways Group of Comapnies, Deanna manages the financial, human resource, assets, records and logistics issues for all permanent and contract staff. In addition to training and supervising administrative support staff, Deanna has particular responsibility for budgetary reporting and financial management. These responsibilities include GST and BAS reconciliation, payroll tax preparation, fringe benefit tax reporting and end of year financial statements.
Deanna is also responsible for arranging bank guarantees and any financial requirements. This necessitates developing strong business relation-ships with financial institutions to ensure efficient processing of transactions.
Deanna has also managed the implementation of customised accounting and payroll systems at companies acquired by Highway Construction in 2007/08, Materials Consultants and Intersectional Linemarkers. |

Quality Control - Ms. Jenny Taylor
Jenny joined the company in May 2005. Her duties include data entry, document control and invoicing of customers. She assists in the establishment, auditing and monitoring of Annex Laboratories, auditing of the Perth Laboratory, quality control and ensuring that the company meets the NATA accreditation requirements, AS ISO/IEC 17025
Jenny assists the General Manager, Laboratory Manager and customers as required.

Group Financial Controller - Ms Lucy Lu, B.Com (Accounting & Business Law)
Within the Highways Group of Companies following increasing revenues and the acquisition of Materials Consultants and Intersectional Linemarkers, Lucy serves as the Group Financial Controller. Lucy is a degree qualified accountant studying towards a CA. She graduated with distinction from Curtin University, majoring in Accounting and Business Law.
Lucy worked for Dutch Philips Electronics in Shanghai and Hong Kong prior to her settlement in Australia. Her duties with Materials Consultants include budgetary reporting and financial management, GST and BAS reconciliation, payroll tax preparation, fringe benefit tax reporting and end of year financial statements for the company.

Admin Assistant - Ms. Rebecca Holdway
Rebecca joined the company in Febuary 1995. Her duties include data entry, document control and on the odd occasion, invoicing of customers. Roles also include the assistance of the establishment, auditing and monitoring of Annex Laboratories, auditing of the Perth Laboratory, quality control and ensuring that the company meets the NATA accreditation requirements, AS ISO/IEC 17025
Rebecca assists the General Manager, Laboratory Manager and customers as required. |
